Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a 16 x 16 cm square baking pan with butter.
In a medium saucepan, whisk together all the ingredients, except the oats and raisins, over a medium heat.
Stir regularly until the mixture begins to bubble, then remove from the heat. Combine with the oats and raisins, in a bowl or in the saucepan if large enough.
Spread the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the edges begin to brown.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into squares or bars using a serrated knife.
Store in a sealed container to prevent drying.
This lovely gluten, nut and egg-free snack provides great energy before sport. This recipe does contain dairy, replace butter with coconut fat.
